JGP Consultoria e Participações Ltda. is a Brazilian consulting firm established in 1993 and specializing in Environmental Planning and Management. The company has a highly diversified project portfolio and has been responsible for environmental and social assessment, permitting and management of a wide array of major infrastructure, industrial and real estate projects. It is recognized as a market leader in Brazil.
Over the past 24 years, JGP has accumulated a vast and diverse experience, and consolidated a highly skilled multidisciplinary team. More than 1,200 projects have been successfully completed. Currently, our permanent team includes over 150 professionals and support staff. This team is complemented by a select group of senior consultants, continuously involved in company projects.

The services developed by the company include Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), management of permitting processes, development of integrated Environmental and Social Management Systems (ESMS), planning and implementation of environmental and social programs, environmental supervision and/or management of construction, planning and management of involuntary resettlement processes, studies with indigenous peoples, biodiversity surveys, Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD) and monitoring for financial institutions, environmental audits and sustainability strategies, among others. JGP is internationally recognized for its work in the following types of services:

The internationalization of JGP's activities began in 2000, mainly due to projects with multilateral financial institutions, specifically IFC and IDB. Since then, JGP has supported over 25 financial institutions in the process of environmental and social due diligence and similar services, including European Development Finance Institutions (EDFIs), export credit agencies and Equator Principle banks. This experience includes more than 100 infrastructure projects.
The experience in Latin America includes all South American countries and Mexico, Panama, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, and Nicaragua. Experience in Africa includes projects in Angola, Cape Verde, Tanzania, Mozambique, DR of the Congo and Senegal.
Since August 2011, JGP has an affiliated company in Lima, Peru (JGP Consultoria Peru S.A.C.).
In January 2014, JGP acquired a controlling interest in an environmental consulting firm in Portugal (today JGP / NVIST). With this company we are developing studies and projects in Portugal and in Africa.
