>“Quinta da Baronesa” residential development
JGP has extensive experience with urban development projects. The Quinta da Baronesa project is a reference in proper environmental planning and responsible implementation. It covers an area of nearly 100 million square feet (900 hectares) and includes residential areas, a golf course, club houses and associated facilities, as well as several lakes and two extremely well preserved natural forests that occupy 30% of the area.
JGP was responsible for the Environmental Impact Study (EIA) and for management of the entire permitting process. The two natural forests have been transformed into legally decreed Environmental Reserves based on Forest Management Plans that were approved by the federal environmental agency (IBAMA) and prepared by JGP, that is also responsible for continuous monitoring of local fauna.
Rigorous environmental monitoring of all the construction process was also conducted by JGP during implementation of the infrastructure of residential areas and the golf course. |
