JGP concludes environmental permitting procedures on a 670 Km. 500 Kv transmission line in the states of Goias and Minas Gerais (JULY 2007)

Environmental permitting procedures on a 670 Km. 500 Kv high voltage transmission line in the states of Goias and Minas Gerais were concluded upon issuance of the Installation (construction) License by the Brazilian Federal Environmental Agency (IBAMA). The project intercepts 23 municipalities and is part of the Brazilian Interconnected Energy System. Permitting procedures were entirely a JGP responsibility, and included preparation and submittal of an Environmental Impact Study, disclosure of the project at three (03) Public Hearings and submittal of detailed Environmental Management Plans.
