The State Environmental Agency (CETESB-SP) issues the Environmental Permit for the Northern Segment of São Paulo’s Metropolitan Beltway (Rodoanel) (July 2011)

CETESB has issued the Environmental Permit for the Northern Segment of the city’s Metropolitan Beltway (Rodoanel). With 42 km and 7 tunnels, this is the last of 4 segments and will close a beltway totaling 174 km. São Paulo’s Metropolitan Beltway is the largest and most complex ongoing highway project in Brazil. JGP was responsible for the Northern Segment’s ESIA, as well as for Environmental and Social Management System development, as the lead firm in the joint venture selected by the State in public tender. JGP was also responsible for the ESIAs of the other three segments, starting with the Western Segment in 1997.
