IDB Invest will finance construction of the Posorja Port in Ecuador. This will have an initial capacity of 800,000 twenty-foot-equivalent units (TEU) and will have a direct footprint of approximately 100 hectares. It will offer a 15-meter draft as opposed to the 9.75 meter draft available at Guayaquil Port. A 400-meter pier (to be doubled in Phase 2) will operate with Ultra Post Panamax Class E container ships.

JGP was selected by IDB Invest to conduct the Environmental and Social Due Diligence Assessment and to assist with initial verification of the project sponsor´s compliance with requirements established in the Environmental and Social Action Plan (ESAP) as conditions precedent to the Loan Agreement.
