The second line of Lima´s subway system (METRO LINE 2) is the largest infrastructure investment ongoing in Peru, with an alignment over 34 km long including 35 stations. Total cost will exceed US$ 5 billion and the project will be implemented over a period expected to exceed 7 years.

JGP was selected by Lenders to act as the Independent Environmental & Social Consultant responsible for periodic monitoring of project compliance with requirements in the environmental and other permits and with E&S conditions established in the Environmental and Social Action Plan (ESAP) attached to the Loan Agreement.

Scope of work includes supervision of contractor compliance with the Construction ESHS Management Plan, monitoring of environmental quality and KPIs, supervision of the Resettlement Action Plan implementation process, and a wide variety of other commitments, including community relations, grievance redress and archaeological monitoring.
