JGP has significant experience with resorts and other tourism projects. In some cases, JGP’s involvement has been limited to permitting services. In others, JGP has been responsible for environmental and conceptual site planning as well.
Frequently, the tourism projects JGP has been involved with are linked to real estate developments and are hence subject to permitting and associated procedures similar to those applicable to residential neighborhoods projects (see Sectors – Urban Development). Regardless, since in most cases tourism projects are in pristine locations, environmental permitting procedures are generally rigorous and on-site legal restrictions tend to be very severe.
JGP’s tourism portfolio includes projects in the states of São Paulo, Bahia, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul and Alagoas.
Projects in São Paulo include coastal resorts at Bertioga, Guarujá, Ilha Bela and Ubatuba. Hotels with residential development have also been planned at Campos do Jordão and at Jundiai, in this second case with an associated golf course.
Projects in Bahia are located at the southern coast of the state and include a luxury beachside hotel at Trancoso, as well as a nearby residential condominium. Projects in Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul and Alagoas are also beachside resort developments.
